Political contributions are not tax-deductible for Federal or State purposes as charitable contributions. The City of Chula Vista campaign regulations permits only personal contributions of $410.00 per individual, per election. Couples may contribute $820.00 per election, per couple if both spouses are authorized on the banking account. Contributions from businesses, labor unions, PACs, and other types of “organizations” are prohibited. It is unlawful for a contributor to be reimbursed by any organization, company, or individual.
